Tri Cities and Beyond: Linear Trail, Erwin Tennessee

Linear Trail, Erwin Tennessee

The Linear Trail in Erwin TennesseeLinear trail is one of my favorite places in the Tri Cities to spend a few hours in nature.  It is a well lit trail with paved trails along the Nolichuckey river.  From the start to finish it is 4 miles long, which is perfect if you are training for a distance event, or just out for a day away from the office.  Along the trail you will run along many Egrets and large turtles.  It's quite common to see 6-10 turtles sunning themselves along a large branch.

I train for my Susan G Komen walk on this trail.  I can get 8 miles in on one trail.  That is especially good, I don't get bored, the trees really provide great shade.

The Linear Trail Erwin Tennessee, a great trail, a great afternoon!

The Linear Trail in Erwin sounds like a wonderful place to enjoy some quiet time. Bet residents who are not familiar with this trail, and visitors too, will be glad to see this localism post.

Linear trails are very popular. People can do all manner of walking, hiking and jogging and do not get as bored as they might on a track and they are far safer than the streets
