Tri Cities and Beyond: November 2011

Pay if forward: The Holidays

What a perfect time to pay it forward!  I love the holidays and I love giving, the two go hand in hand.  Today I went out and purchased 5 board games for children who fall under the category of "Below Poverty".  Have you ever heard of such a thing.  That is just unacceptable.  I learned this term on Thanksgiving when my friend came over and told me of the group she is supporting, which is helping these children.  Below poverty basically means, the funds coming into the household are 100% government.  The parents have ZERO income.  SO SAD.  I cannot imagine being a child and not having a Christmas.  My wish to them is that they will grow up and break the cycle of their parents.
